Why We Exist

Born from

The Ohr Ya'akov Foundation was founded by an educator and parent of two children with complex medical needs. It was born not from theory, but from lived experience — from sitting in too many specialists' offices unable to recall the right date, the right result, the right name.

The name carries personal meaning. Ohr — light. Ya'akov — Jacob, our son. Together, a promise: that families navigating medical chaos will have a light to guide them.
